Brewing Instructions for 8bar Honeybush Espresso

 

 

Good news - it is as simple as making an espresso!

 

Preparation

Clean the portafilter and coffee machine thoroughly, rinsing with water to remove any residual coffee particles.

 

Brewing Process

Fill the double portafilter with 2 heaped tablespoons 8bar Honeybush ground powder. Always use the double shot for preparing an 8bar.

 

No tamping necessary. It doesn't need added pressure.

 

Extract at appr. 8-12 bar pressure (as default setting with your espresso machine).

 

Brew for 11-15 seconds (note the 8bar Honeybush is more yielding than a regular espresso, however of thicker consistency than tea).

 

Note: This percolating method preserves aroma and maximizes antioxidant release.

 

Expect a crema similar to traditional espresso.

 

Finishing

Froth your preferred milk in a milk jug.

Pour the frothed milk into the Honeybush espresso.

Add latte art if desired.
